OBIEE Which report uses which column

With regular intervals you see this question on the forums. Seems that at lot of people are unaware of the possibilities of the catalog manager.

First let’s op a catalog in off-line read only mode:

select the catalog top level:

Hi John,
Great post, thanx. Could you please describe how we can configure the output file. Right now, the file is delimited by spaces and we would like comma delimiting.

Thanx,
David

Hi David,

It's not space delimited, it's tab delimited. Just us an ODBC connection to your file to read into a DB.

John

Thanks John, I actually just imported it in to Excel and it serves us fine.

BTW, I came across a very interesting blog post (from Mark Rittman) about creating these reports through the command line and using in a script file. Apparently there are configuration options for setting the delimit character.

Thanks,
