OBIEE11g Installation on 32 bits XP-pro I

OBIEE11g is out! Yeah, let’s try and install it on a windows 32 bit XP-pro box.

Ok, we have finally downloaded the 4,5 Gb:

Unzip them in a single folder:

Copy all the bishiphome subfolders to a single install folder:

Check if you have access to an db:

Check if you have a loopback adaptor installed, this provides at least one fixed ip-adress for your system:

Start the RCU (Repository Creation Utility) found in: D:\OBIEE11G1130\ofm_rcu_win32_11.1.1.3.3_disk1_1of1\rcuHome\BIN

HI John,

I like the way you narrate the complicated things in a simple manner , keep it up ..
Well I have a question for you , The RCU which Oracle supplying is only for 32 bit.. Is there any way to get the RCU for 64 bit . Why means The RPD is opening in 32 bit but for 64 bit its not opening

I have no idea, I always (mis)use a 32 bit virtual for that.
